Holiday Timeline is a free public holiday calendar that helps people coordinate work and meetings across regions. This page explains how we handle data when you visit the site.
Information we collect
Holiday Timeline itself does not require you to create an account, sign in, or submit any personal information. We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact details unless you choose to email us directly.
Your selected regions and display preferences are stored in your browser's local storage on your device only. We do not transmit them to any server.
Country detection on first visit
When you first land on the site, we make a single request to Cloudflare's edge endpoint (/cdn-cgi/trace) to detect your country from your IP address, and use that to pre-select the matching country in your region picker. This is purely for first-impression convenience: your country is detected, then you can change the selection at any time. Your country code is stored only in your browser's local storage. After your first visit, no further IP-based detection is performed — your saved selection is used. We do not log, share, or transmit your IP address or country to any of our own servers.
Cookies and analytics
Holiday Timeline uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which regions and features are used most, so we can prioritise improvements. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless: it does not set any cookies, does not store any personal data, and does not fingerprint or track visitors across sites. It only counts aggregate page views, referrers, and country (derived from IP at request time and immediately discarded).

Advertising
Holiday Timeline may display advertisements through third-party ad networks (for example, Ezoic or Google AdSense) to support the cost of maintaining the calendar. When ads are enabled, our ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, including personalised advertising where you have consented.

Third-party services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and JavaScript libraries from a public CDN (unpkg). These providers may receive your IP address and basic browser information when their resources are requested. We do not share any other information with them.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of personal information held about you, and to object to or withdraw consent for personalised advertising. As Holiday Timeline collects no direct personal information, most requests will be referred to the relevant ad partner.

Children's privacy
Holiday Timeline is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.
